Our Story
|
Our inspiration came from our fashionable mothers who always believed in us. Charlotte Lu is dedicated to them and named after two of our mothers who are dearly departed.
Our collection consists of delicate diamond and gold necklaces, stacking pinky rings, uniquely styled earrings and attachments for studs which display a sense of classic elegance with a contemporary edge. There are some bold pieces too. The jewelry is crafted from diamonds, rubies, rose cut moonstones and colored stones and featured in 14 and 18k in yellow, rose or white gold.
Linda Fitzgerald first began designing jewelry for herself while growing up on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Strongly influenced by her grandmother’s collection of traditional, antique and contemporary pieces, she continued creating jewelry for herself and friends while working as an advertising agency executive. Charlotte Lu is the realization of her dream to introduce her beautiful designs to a wider audience. Linda lives in Los Angeles with her husband and two cats.
Brooklyn born Toni Licata remembers rummaging through her mother’s jewelry box as a young girl transfixed by the sparkling diamonds and semi-precious stones. Later, she would use those gemstone colors on the sweaters she developed for two major labels in the fashion industry. Today, Toni’s unique talents contribute to making Charlotte Lu one of the hottest new jewelry lines on the horizon. Toni lives with her husband in Los Angeles and they have two children.
Raised in West Haven, Connecticut, Nancy Mutterperl enjoyed studying art history in college, but it was her love of jewelry that led to her earning certificates from the Gemological Institute of America. While she was a stay-at-home mom, Nancy began creating her own jewelry pieces that were sold in retail stores and catalogs. Nancy’s experience with gemstones gives her the edge for selecting beautiful stones for Charlotte Lu. Nancy is married, has two sons and resides in both Manhattan and Beverly Hills.
